Welcome among the Komendunesi
Komendunesi is a cultural project born in 2019 to give life to musical and creative experiences in Comenduno. The Komendunesi Festival is a part of this project, started to experiment new ways of making culture through creativity, provocation and curiosity.
With the participation of both Italian and international artists, it aims to transform the small town of Comenduno in a melting pot of different languages, ideas and stories. The unique blend of enchanted setting and an audience hungry for discovery is what makes our Festival special.
The Komendunesi Festival is produced by the Ethnographic Museum of the Tower of Comeduno. Behind it there is us: artists and partners of the Museum, a bit Comendunesi, a bit Italian, a bit European. We share the belief that music has the power to bring people and communities together.
You and me, we are Komendunesi: people of different ages, origins and cultures connected by common roots such as the bond with the territory and the local parish, the passion for sports, the work ethic, the volunteering and the respect for nature. Our cultural project is an invitation to welcome others – to say benvenutə, wilkommen, üdvözöljük, bienvenidos, witamy!

Join us in summer 2021
After the first magical edition in 2019, the Komendunesi Festival is back for summer 2021 with a rich schedule. We have planned events for people of any age as part of an experience that will make us finally feel closer after so many months of isolation.
The events of the festival will take place from 23 to 29 of August. They will inhabit both Comenduno's most known and hidden places, leading you to discover new music and people.
Komendunesi Festival looks forward to welcoming everyone for more unmissable music, workshops and tastings events, which you simply will not find all in one place elsewhere!

All musical events are free and will take place outdoors, except for the rehearsals and the morning meditations, so we will be able to enjoy the experience safely with no worries. Free visits to the Museum of the Tower and to the Maglio Calvi are only at certain times; as for the children’s workshops and the tastings, they can be attended upon reservation and it will be possible to give a donation.
