Agnes Glaßner

Oboe

Brief info

Tell us about yourself: who are you and where do you come from?

My name is Agnes and I come from a small village in Lower Austria where I grew up with four brothers. Music has always been part of our family. Since my childhood I have been playing the oboe. I have been living in Vienna for many years now.

Tell us about a passion you have besides music and why it makes you feel good.

My greatest passion besides music is traveling and discovering new cuisines. Sometimes on orchestral tours, it is possible to combine everything: travel + music + cuisine.

In your opinion, what makes the Komendunesi Festival special?

The Komendunesi Festival is a great opportunity to get together and get to know different musicians and have fun. Also, we can make music together in a relaxed atmosphere.

Three things you are looking forward to most about the 2021 edition of the Komendunesi Festival?

People (local residents included), Italy and music.

What is music to you?

Music is all that defines me. I can communicate through music and touch people I don’t even know. Music has always been a big part of my life. And music also lives on its listeners, on the public. That’s why in times like these it’s so hard to do gigs without an audience. Live stream gigs aren’t the same.

A quick music menu of your own:

Privately I listen to very little music. I can’t think of any specific piece like this on the spot.
