Brief info

Tell us about yourself: who are you and where do you come from?

I’m a Spanish recorder and traverso flutist, born in Madrid. I completed my Bachelor's degree in recorder in early and contemporary music with distinction at the Music and Arts University of the City of Vienna (MUK) in 2019. In 2019 I was also the winner of the International Competition for Young Recorder Players of the 8th ERPS-Biennale in Bolzano, as well as gaining the main prize and audience prize in the Fidelio competition in Vienna.
I’m a former flute and recorder soloist of the Anima in Musica Philharmonic Orchestra of Madrid. I’m currently studying for a Masters in recorder under Prof. Michael Posch and Prof. Sheng-fang Chiu, as well as a Bachelor in traverso under Prof. Reinhard Czasch through the Music and Arts University of the City of Vienna (MUK). On a more personal note, I love to sing and play Spanish music.

Tell us about a passion you have besides music and why it makes you feel good.

I always liked to try all kinds of sports, and I got to participate as an athlete in national competitions. Above all, dancing remains my favorite. Styles as street dances, jazz, latin dances… Just shaking it to the beat! Why? It feels awesome and is loads of fun!

In your opinion, what makes the Komendunesi Festival special?

It is a unique experience. It welcomes people from all over the world and makes them feel at home. It brings a great opportunity to young artists and supports them.
It has wonderful musical diversity, with a very original format. It contains from intimate concerts by small ensembles, as well as outdoor performances, to major orchestral events.

Three things you are looking forward to most about the 2021 edition of the Komendunesi Festival?

To meet again with my dear colleagues and the lovely people of Comenduno, to develop work together, learning from each other. To enjoy music together.

What is music to you?

Music is my first, ever-lasting true love. Is what gets me up in the morning, what keeps me standing through the day, and what flies curling up in my dreams at night.
The best concerts are those in which you can feel invisible ties connecting all the people in the room, they flow between the artists and the audience, generating a unique atmosphere.
Music is my soul’s mother tongue, my soul’s healer.

A quick music menu of your own:

a piece of music to help you get through the day or morning

a piece of music to help you relax

a piece of music that helps you to release anger or tension
