Zsófia Nóemi Breda

Violin

Brief info

Tell us about yourself: who are you and where do you come from?

I am Zsófi Bréda, a Hungarian baroque violinist studying in Vienna. I was born in Columbus, Ohio in the US, but I grew up in Gödöllő, a beautiful Hungarian town.

Tell us about a passion you have besides music and why it makes you feel good.

Besides music, I love running and aquarelle painting and drawing. Painting makes me feel good because it gives me another channel to express myself without the pressure of having to make a living out of it. I can learn more about the world around me, about other artists, and about myself. I can also make an inner fantasy-world a bit more visible.

In your opinion, what makes the Komendunesi Festival special?

The Komendunesi Festival has a magical venue, there is amazing food and wine, but in my opinion, the key is still the connection and the people: the people who host us so warm-heartedly and the team of musicians. I am the happiest when I can make music with close friends and when we play for an audience with such an open heart.

Three things you are looking forward to most about the 2021 edition of the Komendunesi Festival?

Goat cheese from Battista, making music with friends and enjoy being in the forests, mountains and the sunlight.

What is music to you?

Music is a way to discover our invisible, inner world, and a way to communicate the unspeakable things. It can heal and comfort us in pain, and remind us of a divine beauty.

A quick music menu of your own:

a piece of music to help you get through the day or morning

a piece of music to help you relax

a piece of music that helps you to release anger or tension
